Transfer to Secondary School

Children leave Skyswood at the end of the academic year in which they are eleven years of age. Early in the autumn term of your child’s final year, you will receive all the relevant information about the transfer procedure. Arrangements are made for you to visit each secondary school in the area before a final choice of school is made.

The school work closely alongside all of our local secondary schools to ensure the best possible transition for all of our children. The transition process includes visits to their prospective schools, alongside the opportunity for key staff to visit from Year 7 to visit our Year 6 class in the summer term.
