Saturday 13 December 2025 Straw and Order Our lower juniors performed superbly and had great fun putting together this year's humorous production of 'Straw and Order.' A wonderfully creative interpretation of the Nativity, starting, and ultimately resolving, the ongoing dispute between the cows and the donkeys over who should reside in the Bethlehem stable. The traditional nativity characters were joined by a modern duo of sheep-herds, the 'Re-Play Hi-Viz Police, and even an alien appearance to re-live a popular seventies classic! The innkeepers argued about the quality and popularity of their provision and poor Stanley reflected on what might have been! The show was superbly narrated by Johanna and Zoe, and the brilliant judge, played by Defne, eventually reached the conclusion that she would like to stay and join in the celebrations for the birth of the Baby Jesus; joined of course by the traditional shepherds, sheep, donkeys, stars, angels and three incredible wise, and reputedly handsome, wise men. The show was a wonderful

Tuesday 9 December 2025 Early Years Blossom in Busy, Busy, Bethlehem! Congratulations to all of our children in Nursery and Reception for their wonderful performance of Busy, Busy Bethlehem. The children brought the Nativity to life with their fantastic singing and dancing, wonderful enthusiasm and confident, clear voices. Bethlehem was indeed buzzing with excitement, not only as a result of the Census, but in celebration of the Baby Jesus. The market stalls sold their olives, oranges, eggs, dates, cheese, chicken and all sorts as the crowds gathered and visitors entered the city. The story followed the journey of the little, but remarkably confident, soldier as well as the tired donkey, who needed a rest after carrying Mary on such a long journey. They finally found their place in the stable and the kings came with their kind offerings of gold, frankincense and the emphatic delivery of myrrh! It was wonderful to have such a packed school hall enjoying their delightful Nativity, which put us all in true Christmas spirit. Well done again to all of our ear

Sunday 7 December 2025 Elves Workshop One again, our traditional Elves Workshop proved extremely popular and put everybody in festive mood on Sunday 7th December. The elves were kept extremely busy at the centre of operations in the school hall, and our school library looked splendid with its Christmas decorations and festive crafts. A big thank you to FOSS, and to the parents, along with a fantastic team of child volunteers, who helped to set up on Saturday and Sunday morning, and clear up at the end. The 'name the Snowman' competition result will be announced in Monday's assembly.

Friday 5 December 2025 Infants Shine in their 'Wriggly Nativity!' Congratulations to our wonderful Year 1 and Year 2 pupils on their fantastic performances of the Wriggly Nativity. It was indeed 'impossible to keep still' and the children re-told the Christmas story with actions, wriggles, dance and song. The children sang beautifully and every character, from the plodding donkey to the twinkling stars, beautiful angels, camels, donkeys, sheep, robins, shepherds, wise men... and of course Mary and Joseph, performed superbly and sang their hearts out. The narrators looked fantastic in their Christmas jumpers and spoke with clarity and confidence. We are extremely proud of all the children, a sense of fun, enthusiasm and wonderful humour was evident from start to finish!
