Thursday 21 May 2026 Year 6 Day of Adventure! Our Year 6 class followed on from a brilliant day yesterday and had a fantastic time today at Bounce Below, on the Forest Coaster and on Zip Safari. An energetic hour in the Llechwedd Caverns Bounce Below activity was followed by a speedy time on the Forest Coasters, with every single child rising to the challenge and getting faster with every go! Nine of the class either chose, or had no choice due to height restrictions, the Treetop Challenge (which is a lower level version of Zip Safari). All nine absolutely smashed it and went round two separate courses with increasing confidence. The Zip Safari group also impressed and are feeling very proud of their achievements at the moment. Our evening meal is due in about twenty minutes and then the children will be getting themselves ready for the disco. It's been a fantastic week so far; all of the children are full of smiles and in good health, they've all got so much out of this week and it's been an absolute pleasure so far. we've all sl

Wednesday 20 May 2026 Year 6 Conquer the Miner's Track! Our Year 6 class have enjoyed another wonderful day in Snowdonia. After setting off for the Miner's Track, every child successfully reached the third lake and we marvelled at the amazing landscape. The rain stayed off but it was quite windy. There was a great sense of accomplishment when the group climbed the steeper path from the second to the third lake, turned the corner and realised they'd made it. Several sheep and even a few mountain goats were spotted as we returned to Pen-y-Pass.

Tuesday 19 May 2026 Year 6 Master the Paddleboards! Despite the worst of the Welsh weather this morning, Year 6 had a fantastic time at Snowdonia Watersports and applied themselves with a positive 'we're gonna get wet anyway' attitude throughout this morning, enjoying a fantastic time on Lake Padarn. We modified the morning walk with due consideration to the weather conditions and then were thankful that the rain stopped over lunchtime and things brightened up in the afternoon. The class have enjoyed a great start to their school journey and were an absolute credit to our school throughout our day at Snowdonia Watersports in Llanberis. We're now back at the hostel, wet clothes are hanging up in the drying room and we're looking forward to our evening meal, before heading to the local beach this evening.

Monday 18 May 2026 Year 6 arrive safely in Snowdonia! Our Year 6 class enjoyed a safe journey to Wales, stopping off for a few hours at Alton Towers. Despite an early shower of hailstones, the weather soon brightened and the theme park was less busy than usual, ensuring less time in queues and more time on the rides! Everybody had a great time, and a particular well done to those children who experienced rollercoasters for the very first time. Every single child went on at least one of the coasters; whether it be the Runaway Train or the more daring rides such as Wicker Man, The Smiler, Thirteen, or being turned upside-down on the Toxicator!

Thursday 7 May 2026 Year 6: Musical Madness Life in Year 6 took an electric turn recently when 11 pupils experimented with creating a band. Rehearsing in their own time in small groups, the band came together for a couple of practices before performing 'Our House' by Madness to Mr. Bridle. Mr. Bridle was very impressed with the way the children listened to each other in order to keep time, and the effort they'd put in. Thank you to the small group of singers who helped the band keep on track, and to Baxter who was absent on the day of the performance.
