Year 2 Get Stranded!

As Year 2 entered the classroom after lunch last week, they were met with a surprise! The lights were off and the sound of thunder filled the room - they had been deserted on an island!

In Science, we’ve been learning about everything humans and animals need to survive. So, with only a tent and a pet, the children were given the challenge of filling their tents with everything they would need to survive on the island.

The children had to research what their pet ate, where they slept and what they needed to stay alive and healthy. They independently researched on the iPads!

After they had included everything they needed to survive, they were allowed to add a few items that weren’t essential but that they simply wanted. The results were brilliant!
