Year 2 Sandwich Picnic!

Yesterday, Year 2 had a lovely afternoon in the sun enjoying their sandwich picnic.

The children have spent the last half term learning all about sandwiches in their DT lessons. They’ve tasted different breads, tried various sandwich fillings and designed their perfect sandwich.

They were great at independently making their sandwiches, making sure to follow instructions to stay safe and hygienic. Then they were all eager to head out into the sun to enjoy their hard work... with their teddies, of course, and the sandwiches were a hit!

Finally, the children evaluated their work, explaining what went well and what would be even better next time.

What a lovely afternoon we had!
