Year 2's Vegetable Patch!

Last term, Year 2's science lessons were all about plants! The children learnt what a plant needs to begin germinating and to continue to grow strong and healthy. To put our knowledge to the test, we planted some vegetables out in the flower beds and ... it was a success! 

We came back from half term to an extremely full vegetable patch, thanks to the rain, which meant it was time to taste what we grew. There were some mixed reviews, but everyone was super proud of their gardening achievements.

Our carrots are still yet to grow... so we've got our fingers crossed for another tasting session later on in the summer term! 

Well done Year 2, you all make excellent gardeners!
