Year 3 River Trip
Year 3 recently visited the River Ver in St. Albans. They were met by four volunteers from the Ver River Children's Chalk Streams Project in Verulamium Park. Splitting into groups, the children analysed and enjoyed looking at invertebrates collected from the river to include Cray fish, Blood worms and Bullhead fish.
Each group went on a nature walk to the riverbank and the lake to spot wildlife and local vegetation. The visit culminated in an exploration of the river with Mr Bridle. Overall, it was a very successful and enjoyable trip. As usual, Year 3 were great ambassadors for Skyswood School and should be proud of themselves!
