Year 4 Chocolate Boxes

In DT this term, Year 4 have been exploring all things chocolate. Our unit began by investigating packaging used for chocolate boxes and then the all important tasting to identify which chocolates our families, who would be our consumers, enjoy the most. We then set to work designing our own selection boxes, combining flavours and toppings to our favourite chocolates. Meanwhile, we explored branding and created individual designs for our boxes, which we transferred to nets and constructed to hold our chocolates. We used a bain marie to melt our chocolate before adding the ingredients for our bespoke designs. Once cooled, we assembled our boxes and were very proud of the results. They also tasted delicious!
