Year 6 - Letters to France !
Year 6 have been practising retrieval skills by reflecting on their language learning since Year 2! To write a letter to their new penfriends in Brittany, it has been necessary to remember how to introduce and describe themselves in French. This has included recalling French from a variety of topics across the years, from learning how to say their name in the Year 2 topic 'Comment t'appelles-tu ?' to describing their appearance in the Year 5 topic 'Décris-toi !'
The class took a closer look at the French verbs being used in each statement. Then, they learnt the verbs 'habiter' and 'parler' so that they could write about their home towns and languages that they speak.
