Year 6 Writing - Wisp

Year 6 have been reading Wisp by Zana Fraillon and Grahame Baker-Smith. We looked at:-

Figurative language such as metaphors, similes and personification

• Effective use of the ‘rule of three’.
• Alliteration.
• Use of conjunctions to emphasise elements of a list.
• Multi-clause sentences.
• Using short sentences for emphasis.
• Fronted adverbials e.g. ‘the next evening’.
