Year 6 Writing - Wisp
Year 6 have been reading Wisp by Zana Fraillon and Grahame Baker-Smith. We looked at:-
Figurative language such as metaphors, similes and personification
- Effective use of the ‘rule of three’.
- Alliteration.
- Use of conjunctions to emphasise elements of a list.
- Multi-clause sentences.
- Using short sentences for emphasis.
- Fronted adverbials e.g. ‘the next evening’.
