Year 6 visit RAF Hendon
On Friday, Year 6 enjoyed a visit to RAF Hendon as part of their studies on World War II. They were able to look at the planes involved in the Battle of Britain and found out more about the planning behind it and why Britain was able to fend off the Luftwaffe. There were also exhibitions on the Dowding system, RAF pilots, the history of the RAF, navigation and the role of coding in World War II.
