Year 6 have been using the book 'Night of the Gargoyles' as a stimulus for their own descriptive writing. Here are excerpts from their work. They focused on:
- descriptive noun phrases for settings and the gargoyles.
- relative clauses
- use of past progressive tense
- power of three
- appropriate use of dialogue to move the story on, including correct punctuation.

Our Trust comprises of 10 schools situated in Hertfordshire across St Albans, Welwyn Garden City and Hemel Hempstead. We comprise of three primary, one infants, one junior and five secondary schools, with over 800 staff delivering high quality education to 7500 young people aged from 3 to 18.
